ROAD TRIP SURVIVAL GIFT BASKET

Road Trip Survival Kit
So my oldest brother is moving away to New York to be with his family after finishing college here and my siblings and i got some money together for a gift for him. I wondered what it is he would like most and came this idea of a road trip survival kit basket. His wife and him are very good at budgeting and not spending extra. So this basket would be the perfect gift to help with gas and some junk food that he normally wouldn't buy for himself, since the drive from Washington state to New York is a few days long.

We spent a little under 50.00 for this basket without including the separate Starbucks gift card and a Visa Gift Card for gas.

Here's a list and photo of the things that were included in this basket:

The Dollar Tree:
The Orange Basket
Some red, tan, and blue decorative twine
Some Red, blue and tan colored gift box fillers
& the plastic gift basket wrap

Walmart:
Bottle of Smart Water
Gatorade Bottle
2 Red Bulls
Some sour cream and ranch Pringles
Snapple strawberry-kiwi drink
Nature Valley box of 4 Sweet & Salty Granola bars (bomb.com)
Big pack of Beef Jerky
David pumpkin seeds
Theater box skittles/m&m's/gummy bears/whoppers
Some orbit gum
A Tylenol Box To Go
& 3 small Nutella to go cups.

So you start by stuffing some of the filler and tissue paper if you have any on the bottom of the basket and layer your things, the taller things and bottles of drinks in the back and work your way down.

Its pretty easy to do just takes some time and effort. Finish off by throwing the rest of the filler on top and stuffing it between boxes. Then wrap the twine around and make a bow or just let it hang. I also printed my Road Trip Survival Kit sign off my computer in Microsoft Word and added a clip art car behind the text.

Wrap it with the gift basket bag and Voila, you got a cool basket full of delicious road trip snacks for someone special :)

Thanks for checking out my blog, have a blessed day...
